Hidden likes are one of those service types that make no sense until you know which problem they were built for. Then they make complete sense, and it also becomes obvious why most accounts should not be buying them.

What the option changes

TikTok profiles have a liked-videos tab, which can be public or private. Hidden like services deliver from accounts whose liked list is private, so the engagement lands on your video without your video appearing in a browsable public list of everything those accounts have liked.

The problem this solves: when a batch of accounts all have public liked tabs and all have liked the same set of videos, that overlap is visible to anyone who checks two of them. It is one of the easier ways for a competitor or a journalist to demonstrate that a set of videos was boosted by the same source.

Who actually needs this
